Cerebral palsy is a movement disorder, muscle tension or posture due to the development of immature brain damage, usually before birth. Symptoms occur in infancy or preschool age. In general, cerebral palsy results in movement disorders associated with abnormal reflexes, weakness or stiffness of the limbs and trunk, improper posture, involuntary movements, unstable walking, or a combination of these factors.
