How can I find treatment of Cholangiocarcinoma?

Cholangiocarcinoma is cancer that forms in the thin tubes (bile ducts) that carry bile from the digestive fluid. The bile ducts connect your liver to the gallbladder and small intestine. This disease, also known as bile duct cancer, is an uncommon form of cancer that occurs mainly in people over 50, although it can occur at any age. The doctors divide the cholangiocarcinoma into different types, depending on where cancer occurs in the bile duct. Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma occurs in the bile ducts of the liver and is sometimes classified as a type of liver cancer. Hilarium cholangiocarcinoma occurs in the bile ducts outside the liver. This type is also called perihilar cholangiocarcinoma. The distal cholangiocarcinoma occurs in the part of the bile duct closest to the small intestine. It is a special type of carcinoma that occurs in the cells of the liver. Bile duct cancer can spread to the gallbladder as well leading to gallbladder cancer.
