Cutaneous means, “skin” and candidiasis is projecting to the infection caused by the specified fungi.
It is a very common fungal infection that may affect all of the skin but the warm and moist areas are more vulnerable to this infection such as; armpits and groin.
This is caused by a yeast-like fungus which is commonly known as; Candida fungi. A small amount of this fungi naturally lives on the human skin but the infection is caused when this amount exceeds the natural level. This increase in quantity may be caused due to;

- infrequent undergarment changes

- Antifungals are recommended in the form of powders and creams.
