The usual upward curve in the middle of the foot is termed as the arch. This is important in normal balancing and supporting work of the foot. When the all associated tendons pulled to the proper amount then moderate, the normal arch is formed but when tendons do not pull properly, there is little or no arch. This is called flat foot or fallen arch. It may be due to by birth defect or some stress or pulling activity. It makes difficulty in standing and walking. For treatment purposes following things are used
- Rest and ice to relieve pain and reduce swelling
- Stretching exercises.
- Physical therapy
