Food poisoning, also known as food disorder, caused by eating contaminated food. Bacteria and other infectious organisms like viruses and parasites are the most common cause of food poisoning. Infectious organisms or their toxins can contaminate food at any stage of processing or production. Contaminants can also occur at home if food is not properly processed or cooked. Symptoms of food poisoning, which can occur several hours after eating contaminated food, often include nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. In most cases, food poisoning is mild and disappears without treatment. But some people have to go to the hospital.
Major symptoms of this infection are following

- Watery or bloody diarrhea
- Abdominal pain and cramps
- Fever
It mostly is cured by antibiotics and rehydrating liquids.
