Spinal tuberculosis or tuberculous spondylitis is a form of tuberculosis infection that occurs outside the lungs in the spine. Mostly the lower thoracic and upper lumbar vertebrae are affected by this infection. The severe infection causes the chronic spinal pain and deformation of vertebral column. Difficulty in movement and normal walking are also associated with it. For treatment purposes antiviral and analgesics drugs or immobilization of the spine region with the help of different types of braces and collars may be recommended.
