The Wilms tumor is a rare kidney cancer that mainly affects children. Also known as nephroblastoma, it is the most common kidney cancer in children. The Wilms' tumor most commonly affects children aged 3 to 4 years and becomes much rarer after 5 years. The Wilms' tumor most commonly occurs in one kidney, although it can sometimes be simultaneous in both kidneys.
