Asking for Self, Female, 20 years old, Karachi
I have anisometropia having -3.25 in one eye and -5.75 in the other. Doc have suggested me to wear contacts but I cannot wear them. What options do I have other than lenses?

what is the vision with this number?
if vision is 6/6 u can go for laser treatment for removal of glasses

It is 6/6 but with glasses it’s my right eye doing most of the work. according to doc I’m not amblyopic. But because of iseikonia, my brain tend to ignore the image from left eye. With lenses I can see pretty well from my left eye too.

Get your complete eye examination done. Once you are 21 years or above you can get your refractive laser correction if all is well with your eye examination and scan.
Till then wear glasses

Will it prevent my eye from becoming amblyopic ? Because with glasses, eye with -3:25 becomes dominant.

Amblyopia doesn’t develop like this. If vision is fully corrected With glasses then amblyopia won’t develop at this age

Vision does get corrected with glasses but the eye with more myope sees image in smaller size so the image that comes from lesser myopic eye is what I’m mostly seeing. Eye with more myope helps in seeing details because the other eye has significant cylindrical Error.

why cant you wear contact lenses?
If your number is stable you can go for laser refractive surgery called LASIK
. being Karachi based you can consult hashmanis who I believe have a unit but before undergoing this procedure do read about it and no need to hurry

Hello, yes I’m 20 years old and my visual status is -3.25 in right eye and -6 in left eye. I also have cylinderical numbers -1 in right and 0.5 in left. I do see from both of my eyes. My eyes have started to develop squint/strabismus. My left eye deviates outward at distance and right one at near distance. My number is not stable yet so can’t opt of laser now. All I’m looking for is a solution for this squint to go away. I feel very uncomfortable in lenses and can’t wear them in long term.

My daughter has a bit of squint in her eyes. her age is 4 months old but we feel in a month.
When it is placed on the lap, her eyes look good to us.
have any solution we are so worried about to her eyes.
