Chronic Kidney disease is a condition that means a long standing raised creatinine and blood urea nitrogen. In simple words, failure of kidneys to excrete the urea from the body which can be due to multiple diseases affecting kidneys and liver. FSGS (Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis) is a nephrotic syndrome in which kidneys are impaired in a way that body's protein starts wasting out which can cause edema and other conditions. FSGS eventually leads to CKD. CKD is a broader term describing many conditions that can cause it. Thank you for asking Marham.
