aoa. meri beti 3 montgs ki hai. Is k 4th month me aik mark appear hua jo ab kafi bara ho gya hai. doctors said that it is hemangioma which will disappear after 5 to 6 yrs. lakin ab is k swelling honay lag gae hai. i just wana know about this swelling k ye q ho rae hai.

Hemangioma is a benign vascular condition and is usually self resolving in a child. Swelling can be a feature of it and can be a possible thing in many cases. By picture provided its most probably rightly diagnosed condition and requires sometime to resolve. If the swelling is only local around the site, you shouldn't be worried. But if it extends to adjacent tissue, you should get a consult from a dermatologist.
This is a strawberry hemangioma which is a small benign vascular skin condition and is also a birth mark. This usually recedes with time and doesn't need any specific treatment. There are no other associated symptoms. But if they start growing and cause cosmetic issues, a plastic surgeon needs to be consulted, who can treat them by one of the following. Laser therapy, corticosteroid injections, or surgical removal. This child would need to be followed up and if the size increases with time, a plastic surgeon should be consulted.

this swelling is arounf her upper lip under that mark. so is this ok r something to worry about?
