I am a patient of pcos,have a son via c sec,4 years old, and had d&c last year because the heartbeat(6 weeks 4 days) was not detected, now I am pregnant again(5weeks 4 days) but I feel too lethargic! I get tired after doing the easiest of chores! I got my tests done, have a mild urine infection and a slightly low hb count! I just want to ask if it is normal at this stage? Because i didnot feel this tired in my earlier pegnancies!And is there any special thing I should do to overcome it? Or should I push myself to work even if I'm tired? At times this feeling is accompanied by lower abdominal pain(left side) and a slight white discharge, I am 70 kgs with a height of 5.6 so i dont want to gain extra weight apart from the normal pregnancy one that one should so i dont want to be too lazy except if it is for the baby off course!I am taking Glucophage 500mg twice daily, pregnacare advance (1 capsule)and duphaston(2 tabs)
Yes it is common to feel tired and most woman need a bit more sleep during the early days of pregnancy, but as you mentioned you have a low Hb this may be one of the reasons you are feeling tired and lethargic. Pregnacare is a vitamin and mineral supplement so I hope it will help you. Don't over stress yourself and take lots of fruits and vegetables, which are healthy for you and your baby.
