Asking on behalf of my friend What are the advantages of mini ivf?is it only suitable for older women? Is natural cycle ivf available in karachi? Thanks in advance
Mini ivf is a ivf procedure in which low or minimum doses of stimuation drugs are given as compared to the conventional ivf. Other than that the rest of the process is same that is the eggs are taken from the wife and fertilized by the husband's sperms in the laboratory and then the embryo is transferred back to the uterus.
Mini ivf is used for woman who don't have any ovulation issues and can produce eggs on low doses of medicine as well. This process is less expensive because money could be saved on medicines.
Regarding its use in old woman it depends on her hormone levels and ovarian reserve and be decided by the doctor if it can be used or not.
I am sorry I dont know if it is available in karachi but nowadays many center in karachi are doing ivf so I hope it should be available.
