Assalam o alikum I have pcos got pregnant after 8 years with clomid. On 10 and 14th week I started bleeding went to emergency they investigated nd couldn’t find the cause nd said it is threatened miscarriage but baby was fine. At 18 weeks started leaking amniotic fluid that led to miscarriage. I want to know causes of ruptured amniotic sac and how this could be prevented in future. Thankyou.
Walikumasalam, sorry to hear about your loss. Most of the time we can't clearly tell what is the reason for that early rupture of membranes. It is common, with vaginal/urine infection, twin pregnancy, maternal medical conditions or abnormalities in developing baby, sometimes mecanical trauma.Doctors must have established the reason at the time of miscarriage. I saw many successful pregnancy with early rupture but sometimes body refuse to carry the baby. I will say improve your general health, reduce weight, eat healthy diet and more water. If you have any medical, get treatment. In next pregnancy, avoid heavey weight, intercouse, any urine or vaginal infection be treated and lots of prayes. Hope for a success pregnancy. Good luck.
2nd trimester miscarriage
Is usually due to infections
Or cervical incompetence or chromosomal abnormalities
A second-trimester miscarriage is a pregnancy loss that happens
specifically between 12 and 20 weeks. A pregnancy loss after 20 weeks, when
you're halfway along, would not be classified as a miscarriage. It would be
labeled a stillbirth

a neonatal death

.
A number of factors can lead to a second-trimester miscarriage. If your
miscarriage was diagnosed early in the second trimester, it might have
actually occurred in the first trimester.
