Please explain the transvaginal ultrasound and want to make sure that empty gestation sac in 5 week pregnancy. Is it normal or is it miscarriage
The transvaginal scan is more sensitive. It indicates the presence of gestational sac at 5 weeks whereas the transabdominal scan does it at 6 weeks.
The diagnosis of empty gestational sac at 5 weeks needs reevaluation after one week.
