Walikum salam. GERD symptoms are aggravated during pregnancy and during the first trimester the nausea, vomiting and morning sickness will be very difficult to deal with along with heart burn etc. In the last trimester again it will be a difficult time as the growing baby would occupy the abdominal cavity and press the intestines etc. My suggestion for you is that first get yourself properly treated for GERD and then try for a pregnancy.

If the symptoms are under control and you think you can keep it in control with your diet and medicine then yes you can try for a pregnancy. Wishing you all the best
