Your mother is 82 years old and we don't know about her current condition, performance status, about her heart and other blood test. If she is otherwise fine the next step is to get biopsy of the lung mass to determine type of disease. Once we know what kind of lung cancer it is, then further management plan can be chalked out. But if she is not in good condition then probably avoid invasive procedures and supportive care should be continued
