I am a male 48 yes old , have a desk job continuous sitting. Due to posture issues have a back pain for past 3 yrs , it comes and goes Panadol helps but my back is very stiff , i do some yoga which helps but doesn't resolve the issue. I have been in pain for past 2 week below my left rib, even when i lie down i get a sharp jab, when i switch side its hurts even when i cough.I am not diabetic nor suffer from any other aliment other than a moving back spasm .
Actually incidence of Low back pain (LBP) is due to
1....Bad posture
2....lack of exercises
3. Deficiency of vitamins especially Vit D
Line of treatment in your case will be as
first muscles should be relaxed with anti inflammatory + Ms relaxants
with normalization of Vit d level in your body.
Followed by active Muscles stretching & strengthening exercises
And most important.....correction of posture

From your history I conclude that you are suffering from early spondylosis .For the time being you are advised maximum bed rest and stretching exercises for your back.Avoid prolong sitting ,if this does not help please consult an orthopaedic surgeon for detailed examination and medicines.
