my shoulder sometimes dislocates with a horrible sound and after a few minutes it comes back to the original position. i need to move my arm to relocate it. it happens with knees as well but at very less magnitude. i cant apply force upwards e.g. i cant do shoulder exercises.

recurrent shoulder dislocation needs a combined treatment plan with physiotherapy and orthopaedic surgeon.

as mentioned in above answer, some damage to joint can happen due to multiple dislocations. which should be looked on xray and examination.

Recurrent dislocation of joints without any trauma most likely because of generalised ligament laxity, however if it hinders your daily routine activities then you need to be examined by orthopedic surgeon and then i can provide you further treatment plan.
