My uncle is suffering from brain tumor(Thalamic glioma),we did gamma knife radio surgery from Karachi as recommend by Dr khaliq ul zaman (Senior neurologist) and then after arrival from Karachi his left side is getting weak .. it's been three months now, and now a days he is unable to walk by his own, Dr recommended physiotherapy... Kindly recommend me a best physiotherapist and guide me as per ur knowledge. Thank you

Thalamus involve your memory , sleep, sensory integrations balance and co ordinations . So he may have these issues which need to be resolved according to physical impairement. Muscles weakness need strenghth training

Firstly i will completely asses the pt then i made a diagnosis and after that make treatment plan according to diagnosis.
it may be possible after effects of surgical intervention in thalamic tumor. here this is very essential to improve muscle strength and to keep safe the patient from any kind of dystrophy.
treatment for this condition is possible, we can try different therapy procedures i.e constraint- induced movement therapy for arm or leg, daily rehab exercises, mirror therapy for hand recovery, mental practice to boost results, strengthening exercises, gait training and many other procedures..to improve activities of daily life.
