I and my husband want a contraception for 5 years, it's been 2 years I got IUD inserted but recently I watched various videos claiming that birth control measures can b cancer causing, can you please enlighten on this. Regards
Iucd does not cause cancer
Depending on the type of iucd they can be hormone releasing and non hormone
releasing.. the non hormonal releasing r inert and hav absolutely no
documented proof of being cancer causing .. the hormone releasing one also
releases a type of progesterone in such low quantity and the effect is also
just localised .. so it causing cancer is highly unlikely .. of course it
is contraindicated in women who already hav cancer or hav previous history
of cancer .. plz don't believe everything u read on the internet.. take
