Talk to Audiologist on Sound In Ear

I am hearing sounds in my ear. It started after I was brutally assailed, particularly being hit on my head with hard object/stone. The problem did not show itself right away but it now developed into a problem. I hear (humming) sounds during day and night and is more pronounced during night and esp when I sleep at a quiet place.

My question is 1) Can this be detected by an instrument which can confirm, I have this problem and 2) Is there any cure for it. Thanks
