If a child is born with no eye related issue & upto 4 years never had any eye relatid issue Is it possible that he/she suddenly start seeing in a wrong way Like focusing some where else but eyes looking somewhere else unconsciously & when u call him/her, starts looking fine focusing fine.. If it is possible what is it called What is its reason What kind of treatment will b needed
This is possible and is called a "squint" or "strabismus". There are
several causes. If it started out late it is necessary to rule out certain
diseases of the back portion of the eye and to ascertain whether glasses
are required for vision correction. If no condition is found that surgical
correction is mandated to ensure proper vision development
Need proper evaluation. may need some investigation to conclude.
This child may have squint or latent squint. He should be tested for glasses.

Such children most of the time have some refractive error.
Will be confirmed on cycloplegic refraction and possibly the total
treatment.if some problem persist then exercise and lastly surgery.
