Talk to Gastroenterologist on Blood When Hard Stool

Asking for Self, Male, 35 years old, Lahore

Hi ,

I am gastritis patient from last one year, 70 to 80 percent recovered with medicine of esomaprazole and levoprade tablet.

Now in last 03 months, I am feeling that i have blood when i am passing hard stool, blood is not in the stool, but after stool when i touch the anus with tissue paper, then tissue paper shows 1,2 drops of red fresh blood. it happens roughly 1 to 2 times in a month when i have a very hard stool.

my age is 35 years and i have never experience such problem in past, this is just happening in last 03 months.

Any advise, shall i go for colonoscopy, is it serious issue?

please guide

please use high fiber diet and see a qualified gastroenterologist

shall i go for colonoscopy if doctor want me to do so ? is there any other test instead of colonoscopy to find out the DISEASE.

Thank you doctor, i have get checked by medical specialist, he has referred me to Gastroenterologist. i am just worried if he will do the colonoscopy as i am not willing for this. it might be very painful or any problems in future due to colonoscopy.

Dear i feel pity on your nievity and the guidance u r getting to get a colonscopy.
my advice is get yourself assessed by a surgeon,, if its a simple anal fissure,, u dont need anything going in your backside,
simple medical treatment will suffix,

thank you doctor for your guidance and giving me hope with your experience that i don't need any colonoscopy .. i have an appointment with the gastro I will come back here and update you about his opinion as well .. after that i will take the decision for treatment.
