Asking for Self, Female, 30 years old, Karachi
I am an obese person, 5.4" and 98kgs. I have always been overweight my entire life but currently at my heaviest. I had cholestasis during pregnancy which subsided after delivery. Later, I developed gallstone, hypothyroidism, uterine fibroids and fatty liver. I take thyroxine but for gallstone, the doctor told me not to get it treated until it starts to bother (which, it doesn't). My ultrasound showed enlarged fatty liver. I also suffer from irregular menstruation cycle sometimes for which I have to take primolut N. I just got my LFT done and it shows elevated gamma GT levels (66). I'm thinking to take an appointment from a gastroenterologist but i want to know if there are any tests that I should get done before visiting the doctor? I also lost my father to cirrhosis a few years back, if any of the experts can shed some light on my health, I'll be really grateful. Also, I'm currently taking primolut N, can this be the cause of elevated gamma gt levels?
please come with ur lipid profile, and LFTS, As I am liver and
hepatobiliary surgeon, i wish if i can assess the liver and gall bladder
stone. I may need your fresh ultrasound abdomen.
Thanks
Dr. Zakria
