Asking for Self, Female, 29 years old, Lahore

Hii i am suffering from AF(atrial fibrilation) since 4 years. I am taking rivaraxabon blood thinner. Is there any alternative of this medicine? I have noticed visible weaknes in my muscles after using these drugs. And my other question is can an AF patient conceive with this medicine? Or any other medicine to use during pregnancy? Waiting for reply

Requirement of blood thinners with atrial fibrillation is subjective to certain parameters.Rivaroxaban is one of the latest and very potent blood thinner used in this condition . Available in pakistan the alternative is warfarin which has lots of interactions and requires constant monitoring of INR .however for detailed evaluation come to the clinic.

Salaam
Unless you have certain underlying heart valve conditions or some other high risk features you should not be taking blood thinners at your age
Kindly have your condition re evaluated
