An American woman named Collier was not taking any contraceptive pills when she became pregnant with four children. Their children are now four months old, have a four-year-old daughter, and Collier says life is very busy. Experts say the chances of getting pregnant suddenly with four children are one in a million.
Last year, Madison Collier, a teacher in Georgia, confirmed her pregnancy with an initial ultrasound at about eight weeks. This was normal until the doctor told Collier that she had four children, not one.
Collier suspected something is wrong because the doctor asked if she was taking fertility medication. But she wasn’t. Collier’s husband, Justin, had an allergy, so Collier was alone. When she visited the doctor, she was shocked to hear the doctor’s shocking news.
Collier Wrote In An Instagram Post
I told the doctor like this, oh no, there will be twins !!! And the doctor said no, not twins and then I got confused, I was just wondering if they are more than two ???? I’m very nervous!
Collier told Insider
I started hyper-ventilation under stress, but I still couldn’t believe the doctor was telling the truth. I honestly couldn’t believe it until the doctor showed me the screen.

Collier Shared The Surprise
Collier called Justin and he said;
“I became convinced that she was giving birth to four children, literally a lifelong shock. No one expects four, especially not naturally.”
Collier’s eldest daughter, Isla, was 3 years old at the time and curious about what was happening, her father was lying on the floor and her mother was crying on the phone. Justin told her he had four younger siblings instead of one.
“Do we have any plans for four children?” Collier asked Justin. And Justin told her we didn’t do it, everything was natural.
One in a Million Cases!
In the United States, only one and a half hundred pairs of multiple pregnancies are born each year with four twins and three or more fetuses. This is most often the case when parents are using birth control pills. Collier was not being treated for infertility, and she and Justin had no such family history.
An expert gynecologist says that the chances of having four spontaneous pregnancies are one in a million. A quad pregnancy can occur when more than one egg is produced, or when the eggs are divided. Collier’s quads are two boys and two girls. But since all the children had their own features, it is not clear if any of them are identical twins.
A simple genetic test can confirm whether they are identical. Tests should always be done at an authoritative location, as the report depends on your potential illness and treatment. Choose the best lab for genetic testing from here.
Complications In The Pregnancy Of Quadruplets:
Having four children increases the risk of complications for both mother and baby. One of the most common complications is premature birth. Collier said that when the pregnancy was delivered in about 28 weeks. Babies weighed from two pounds and five ounces to two pounds and ten ounces and needed to stay in the neonatal intensive care unit.
Life With Five Children:
Today, the four children are four months old, Calloway, Eliza, Iris, and Wilder. Changing about 30 diapers on a normal day and feeding the babies every three hours is part of their life.
Collier said she has a lot of work to do, but they are very cute, sometimes they cry with each other, so sometimes it’s really too much. They are really good kids. They have started smiling and making sweet noises. This is the best thing for parents. In case of any pediatric disease, choose a pediatrician from here.
Even before she became pregnant, Collier’s ability to function was limited because Isla had juvenile arthritis and needed frequent medical checkups. The family has started a fundraising website called GoFundMe to help with the expenses of their suddenly very large children, and the Colliers are settling into a family they never imagined.
