    How to Measure Your Intelligence?

Intelligence is measured through different psychological tests, among which the most common is the IQ test. IQ tests are available online and come in various forms, and they help diagnose your intellectual disabilities or measure your intellectual potential.

According to the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, 85 percent of intellectually impaired children have an IQ score between 55 and 70. And a score of 100 is considered an average. If you are considering an IQ test, talk to a psychologist first.

What does an IQ Test Say About you?

    • A high IQ score (more than 100) is usually associated with high intelligence. A score of 130 or higher indicates extreme intelligence. Nonetheless, they are stereotypical outcomes. A high score usually shows that you have a lot of potential rather than being incredibly “smart.”
    • A score of less than 100 is considered “below average” in intelligence. Low scores, significantly below 70, is usually cause for concern. It could be a sign that you have a hidden learning problem. So, if you want to enhance your intellectual level, read 7 activities to enhance the Intelligence level.

Which Type of Intelligent are You?

Traditional psychometric views of assessing intelligence, according to psychologist Howard Gardner, are excessively restrictive and can’t possibly capture all of a person’s abilities and talents. He claims that judging someone’s IQ solely based on one or two indicators is insufficient. Gardener outlines the nine forms of intelligence with examples to help you figure out what kind of intellect you have. You can also read theory of multiple Intelligence for better understanding.

    How Intelligent are You?

    1- Naturalistic Intelligence

Have you ever noticed how certain people have the ability to grow anything? It is as if they’ve a ‘green thumb.’ Others have a natural affinity with animals, while some are entirely at ease in nature. Naturalistic intelligence refers to those who are aware of their surroundings. They appreciate being outside, tending to the environment, and learning about it. Moreover, people with Naturalistic intelligence are sensitive to minor changes in nature and the surroundings.

    2- Musical Intelligence

Not everyone is blessed with a green thumb and a desire to spend time outdoors. Instead, there are those instinctively drawn to music. People with musical intelligence are much more sensitive to sound in general, and they frequently catch up on noises that others would miss. They have a strong sense of rhythm and distinguish between tone and pitch. They are also more likely to play an instrument or work in the music industry.

    3- Logical-mathematical Intelligence

Logic-mathematical intelligence is the closest to what we often associate the general intelligence. Mathematics and working with numbers come naturally to those with this intelligence. They can easily spot patterns and carry out tasks in a logical manner. They have superior reasoning abilities and can frequently argue their way out of problems. People with a high level of logical-mathematical intelligence are attracted to games that require strategy and puzzle-solving.

    4- Existential Intelligence

While many of us are content to go about our daily lives, those with high levels of existential intelligence typically ponder daily events in greater depth. They consider questions like, “Why are we here?” And, more importantly, what is the aim of it all? They are frequently profound philosophers who can seek answers to questions that are bigger than themselves. Spiritual or moral intelligence are terms used to describe existential intelligence.

    5- Interpersonal Intelligence

Do you have an innate talent to get along with people? Do you have an excellent sense of reading people and social situations? If this describes you, you most likely have a strong level of interpersonal intelligence. This type of intelligence is frequently strong at understanding verbal and nonverbal signs and assessing temperament and mood. They are easily moved by empathy. Leaders, legislators, life coaches, social workers, and psychologists are examples of people with this type of intelligence.

    6- Linguistic Intelligence

Linguistic intelligence is the most widely shared type of intelligence among humans. It refers to thinking in words and then using those words to express themselves. People with high linguistic intelligence are excellent at putting their emotions and thoughts into words so that others can comprehend. Writing, reading, and public speaking are all activities they enjoy.

    7- Bodily–kinaesthetic Intelligence

People with a high level of bodily–kinaesthetic intelligence have a unique sense of timing, remarkable mind-body coordination, and fine and gross motor skills. They can communicate sentiments and ideas through their body, and as a result, they take part in sports, dance, sports, and medicine. They use their bodies to solve issues and create something significant.

    8- Intrapersonal Intelligence

Do you understand your ideas, feelings, and emotions, and can you apply that knowledge in your daily life? If so, you most likely possess a high level of intrapersonal intelligence. Intra-personal intelligence is the ability to comprehend oneself and the human situation as a whole. They are referred to as “self-aware” individuals who are generally shy despite better awareness of their feelings. Intra-personal intelligence is common among philosophers, spiritual leaders, psychologists, and writers.

    9- Spatial Intelligence

The ability to think in three dimensions is referred to as spatial intelligence. People with strong spatial intelligence are frequently very creative, have a vivid imagination, strong artistic talent, and good spatial thinking. These individuals are generally referred to as “picture smart,” and they work in fields such as design, architecture, and map reading.

Now, based on the above information, it is easier to tell how intelligent are you. Remember that working with your natural tendencies will help you achieve success. So, find out your strengths and put them to good use! You can also consult a psychologist if you have any queries.
