The prostate gland is a solid, chest-nut shaped organ present underneath the bladder. It has two zones.

    • An inner-zone which produces secretions to keep urethra moist
    • An outer-zone which produces seminal secretions

    • Fever
    • Flu-like symptoms

Diagnosis and Treatment:

It is diagnosed by:

    • Test on urine samples
    • Rectal exam

It is treated by the use of antibiotics but the recurrence rate is high.
