Yes! You might feel suffocated it is due to the increase blood flow to your nose mucous membranes. Moreover, now your baby weight is increasing which puts pressure on your diaphragm due to which you will feel congested especially while sleeping at night.
Swollen ankles and feet
Yes! All thanks to your pregnancy hormones and increased blood flow. It can happen as early as 22 weeks and can last till your delivery. You can’t get rid of it, but you can decrease its severity by keeping your legs elevated while you are in bed, don’t stand for stretched hours and try not to sit while your feet hanging down.
Believe it or not! While you will be sound asleep all of a sudden you will feel painful cramps in your legs. It mostly occurs due to hormonal changes as well as weight gain but its possible reason could be deficiency of calcium and magnesium. Make sure to keep taking supplement suggested by gynecologist.
Pain in lower abdomen
With the increase in your weight and belly’s size you can feel intense pain in your abdomen and in your back. Ligaments that were supporting your belly now have to stretch to support the increasing size of a belly. It is commonly known as round ligament pain.
It can be due to low blood pressure. You will feel extreme dizziness in second trimester as your body is now working for two. It’s okay! Take a healthy diet; take food frequently but in small meals. Stay active to subside the laziness.
