I had already lost hope in doctors before i met him. I have been suffering from a mental disorder from past 6 years, no one ever told me what it actually was or how to treat it. Not getting into the nitty gritty, so i had a session with Dr. Naeem and he proved to be a blessing in disguise. that ONE session was enough to take care of my chemical imbalances. I have a very challenging job, Since childhood I knew, I had a problem concentrating specially on tasks that I find boring. Lack of concentration affected me in more than one ways at work, at home and social interaction. I knew that there was something wrong and it kept me from delivering at my full potential. I suffered from distractibility since many years. With Dr. Naeem's detailed diagnosis I was able to realise I had Adult ADHD. I am now in the process of finding the right medication for me given the limited options available to us in Pakistan. Unfortunately first line drugs for ADHD like adderral and vyvanse are not available/ rather banned in Pakistan. After only one session with Dr. Naeem I feel fine. I believe, If you have a problem seek help! Dont hate yourself, Dont feel guilty all the time, Dont push very hard because you cannot change the chemicals deficieny in brain. Since the day I met Dr Naeem Aftab, I feel calmer. Thr doctor took very much intetest in my case gave me over time. I was given Question Paper type proforma for exact diagnosis, which is generally followed in USA/ UK but not in Pakistan. I found the doctor very confident and open for discussion. We discussed various treatment options and I found the doctor with helping attitude. Such doctors are an asset to the country.

My experience with Dr Naeem was very good. i was really worried about my son who was facing social anxiety after being bullied at school. He very successfully treated him and did not put him on unneccessary medications or tests. I really admire his competancy in his field.

I went to Dr Naeem Aftab after struggling to find a good psychiatrist in Pakistan for about 3-4 years. Every doctor simply wanted to put me on unnecessary medication, and offered little to none counseling during their session with me. I was wrongly diagnosed with bipolar disorder and put on very strong drugs, lithium, lamotrigone etc to name a few. I always knew it's not bipolar, but as patients we trust the doctor to know what's best. Sadly, the doctors don't really realize the consequences of misdiagnosis or not investing themselves fully. I kept taking those medicines and kept gaining weight n had other side effects but did not see myself improving. I, therefore, gave up any hope and stopped my medication on my own. I still had the same issues but feared going to any doctor because I feared being put on meds again n being misdiagnosed. However, I eventually came across Dr. Naeem and I am so glad I did. He correctly diagnosed my issue. Counseled me and also told me why I was struggling with panic attacks. He told me bout cognitive errors and panic disorder. Told me there's no symptoms of bipolar what so ever and tried to stay away from medication the best he could. I think he's a great doctor and his 25 years of experience shows from the way he deals with his patients. I would definitely recommend people to go to him! Loved the experience!

Dr. Naeem Aftab is probably the best Psychiatrist in Lahore. After several psychiatrists badly failed to give me proper psychiatric help in a professional way, I was lucky to find Dr. Naeem Aftab right after he came to Pakistan after more than 20 years of experience as a successful psychiatrist in United States. Dr. Naeem Aftab took personal interest in my case and handled everything in an extremely professional way while treatment by other doctors deteriorated my condition and made my everyday life very difficult and extremely miserable. Dr. Naeem Aftab's careful and professional psychiatric advice helped me do very original and creative research in applied mathematics that was appreciated across the world even in countries where people do not know many Pakistanis. I give all credit of my success to Dr. Naeem Aftab and his very kind, truly human, and extremely professional approach to psychiatry. I believe psychiatrists like him are an asset to our country.
