Agusta Tablet uses include relief of pain, swelling, and stiffness in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis in adults who are at risk of stomach or duodenal ulcers from painkillers. It contains naproxen, an anti-inflammatory painkiller that reduces pain and swelling, along with esomeprazole, which lowers stomach acid to help protect the stomach from ulcers. Use it only under medical supervision because it can still cause stomach bleeding and may raise the risk of heart problems.

Your doctor might give you Agusta Tablet for:

Agusta Tablet Dosage and Administration

Always follow your doctor's instructions exactly.

Adult Dosage:

• 1 tablet twice daily
• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time
• Older adults and people with mild to moderate kidney or liver problems may need a lower dose or a different medicine

Children Dosage:

• Not recommended for children and teenagers under 18 years

How to Take:

• Swallow the tablet whole with water.
• Do not split, chew, or crush the tablet.
• Take it at least 30 minutes before a meal.
• It is not meant for quick relief of sudden pain because it takes a few hours to work.
• If you miss a dose, take it when you remember unless the next dose is almost due, and never take a double dose.

Agusta Tablet Warnings

Don't use Agusta Tablet if you:

• Are allergic to naproxen, esomeprazole, other acid-reducing medicines of the same type, or any ingredient
• Have had asthma, wheezing, hives, or an allergic reaction after aspirin or another NSAID
• Are in the last 3 months of pregnancy
• Have severe liver, kidney, or heart problems
• Have an active stomach or duodenal ulcer
• Have bleeding in the stomach, brain, or elsewhere, or a bleeding disorder
• Take the HIV medicines atazanavir or nelfinavir
• Have ever had a severe skin rash, peeling, blistering, or mouth sores after this or similar medicines

Agusta Tablet Precautions

Talk with your doctor first if you:

• Have had a stomach ulcer or stomach bleeding
• Have Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis
• Have heart disease, high blood pressure, or have had a stroke
• Have diabetes or high cholesterol, or you smoke
• Have mild to moderate kidney or liver problems
• Have asthma
• Take blood thinners, clopidogrel, steroids, SSRI antidepressants, or aspirin
• Take lithium, methotrexate, water pills, or blood pressure medicines
• Are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or breastfeeding
• Are an older adult

Also, remember:

• Do not take other NSAID painkillers such as ibuprofen or diclofenac with it
• Do not breastfeed while taking it
• It may make it harder to get pregnant
• It can cause dizziness or blurred vision, so do not drive if affected
• Long use for more than a year may slightly raise the risk of bone fractures
• Long use can lower vitamin B12 and magnesium levels
• Stop it and get help at once if you have black stools, vomit blood, or get chest pain

• Severe allergic reaction with swelling of the lips, tongue, or throat
• Severe skin rash with blisters or peeling
• Stomach bleeding, black stools, or vomiting blood
• Signs of heart attack or stroke
• Yellow skin or eyes, or dark urine
• Kidney problems

• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after expiry date
