About Vigamox Eye Drops

Vigamox Eye Drops uses include treating bacterial eye infections such as bacterial conjunctivitis, keratitis, and pre-operative outer eye infections. It contains Moxifloxacin, a fourth-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA replication, killing a broad range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It works quickly on the eye surface with minimal systemic absorption.

  • Bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye)
  • Bacterial keratitis
  • Pre-operative eye infections

Vigamox Eye Drops Dosage and Administration

Always follow your doctor's instructions exactly.

Adult Dosage:

  • One drop in the affected eye three times daily for 7 days.

Children Dosage:

  • Children over 1 year: same as adult dosage.

How to Apply:

  • Wash your hands before application.
  • Tilt your head back and pull down the lower eyelid.
  • Squeeze one drop into the pocket formed.
  • Close your eye gently for one to two minutes.
  • Do not blink or rub the eye immediately after.
