Talk to Breast Surgeon on Breast Cancer

A 11*11 mm lesion was discovered in the breast of my mother in Feb 2024 during a CT scan for hernia, subsequently Doppler ultra sound was done in March 2024 and a follow up in April 2024 which didn't show any alarming characteristics of breast lesion. A follow up Ultra sound was carried out in May 2025 which showed an increase in size which is 13*17 mm and some suspected characteristics of lesion.(report attached) Subsequently, mammography was carried out which shows BARDS 4 lesion. (report attached) after that we consulted a breast oncology surgeon who suggested biopsy. which was done in last week and showing breast cancer(2 page report is attached) Now the surgeon has given the following way forward :

lumpectomy will be done on 21 July

No need for radiation (As latest research suggests that patients with such type of breast cancer and age above 70 no need of it)

harmone therapy after lumpectomy

I just want to confirm whether we are on the right path.
