Frequently Asked Questions about Zafnol Tablet

Zafnol contains Atenolol, a beta-blocker used to treat high blood pressure, chest pain (angina), and irregular heartbeat. It is also used after a heart attack to protect the heart and for migraine prevention. It works by slowing the heart rate and reducing the heart's workload.
Zafnol starts working within 1-2 hours of taking a dose, but it may take 1-2 weeks of regular daily use to see the full blood pressure-lowering effect. Continue taking as prescribed even if you feel well, as high blood pressure often has no symptoms.
Avoid taking Zafnol with apple juice or orange juice, as they can reduce the absorption of Atenolol by up to 80%, making it less effective. Take your tablet with water instead, and avoid these fruit juices within 4 hours of taking your dose.
Zafnol Tablet price in Pakistan ranges from 45 to 75 PKR per pack of 20 tablets. Price varies between different pharmacies and may change over time.
