Talk to Dentist on Bridge Or Implant

person-avatar

Asking for Self, Female, 35 years old, Taxila

My dentist is suggesting me to get the tooth (upper right 4th) extracted and go for bridge or implant. I'm here to ask some questions. 1. Which way is more effective and long lasting? 2. What will be difference between usage of an implanted tooth and a bridged one? While eating etc 3. What will be the cost of different type of material for tooth with name of material and cost with that for both 3 unit bridge and implanted tooth?

Depends on different factors. Bridge or implants both have their pros and cons, if finances are limited bridge is a viable option.

Extraction an immediate implant is the best solution. The cost will be more or less equal to 3 unit zarconium bridge. Implant is life long n doesnot involve any other vital tooth for support as incase of bridge. If this tooth is not causing any pain or problem then do it when needed.

where are you based. (location) the broken file can be removed or bypassed and the tooth can be saved. if after retreatment infection persists then extraction is advised. but the priority is to save the natural tooth first.

Might be it can be treated by root canal treatment if not possible then go for bridge or crown according to your budget
