Asking For Other, Male 17, Rawalpindi
My househelp got rootcanal done from District Hospital. He didn't get cap after 20 days. Will it be ok without it?
yes crown is not mandatory. if tooth is grossly destroyed then you may need it
yes but depends on tooth structure loss during rct
Yes , but as soon as possible go for the capping as tooth structure is not secured without cap. With any uneven bite pressure Tooth may get fractured and Root canal may get wasted.
he should get crown other wise he will lost his filling
he should get the crown.
If the tooth is comfortable after RCT with no pain on chewing, go for Crown to protect the teeth from brekdown as it is non-vital after RCT
Root canal treated tooth must get a crown afterwards in order to protect it from fracturing.
Cap is must after root canal, if he has no pain and he can chew easily from that tooth it is recommended that he gets his dental crown as soon as possible!
If the filling is small and remaining tooth structure is sufficient he will be fine. But if not then he definitely needs a crown. Just a suggestion, do upload photo if you are asking for assistance as it can help us to give better advice.
