My 5 years old daughter has developed a hole in gum as can be seen in the attached picture. We consulted a dentist but the dentist advised us to giveher brufin for pain and do nothing else as a new tooth is coming there but the problem is that my child is in constant pain and is not able to eat comfortably. What shall i do?

Picture is not visible. Proper clinical and readiographical evaluation is necesaary. Xray is adviced.Then it will be helpful to evaluate.

I would recommend a syrup panadol and soft diet . Nothing much can be done with the tooth which hasn’t erupted yet .

you can use somogel or Clinica Antiseptic Dental Gel for temporary relief. also she can ice cream and cold stuff..that will help with inflammation.
apart from that get an opg (big xray) done to see the position and if any infection is affecting the tooth bud, and please share x ray if possible. take care
