Discontinuing the treatment is not a good option. You visit the dentist again and ask the dentist to give anesthesia properly and get done with the remaining treatment.

Assalamualikum . Pain on first visit of root canal is very normal. Just ask your dentist to numb the area more. Hopefully that will help

i think u should not stop ur treatment in between. u can discuss with the doctor about ur pain management and it can be controlled via desirable dose of anaesthesia. hence, some pain is not pain its actually a pressure which is felt during procedure.
