Dear patient RCT is the Root canal treatment in the permanent teeth. Filling done is permanent non resolvable material. RCT is an alternative of extraction and mostly performed when the tooth is decayed to a level where it reaches to nerves and causes pain and infection. Treatment has no side effects rather it saves the tooth from extraction but yet you need to keep good care of your teeth with brushing and not letting to get infection again.

Yes it is permanent. By doing RCT the nerve in tooth is removed and that canal is filled with permanent filling material. This procedure has no side effects. You will no longer feel any pain sensation in that tooth and it is permanently resorted. Though it can still get caries so must get dental checkup every year

Nothing is permanent although it is the best possible procedure to save the tooth. maintain good oral hygiene practice by brushing twice daily and esp before bedtime.
