I have gone through tooth canal surgery. After root canal doctor told me to use a crown. I have some queries which I attached in a JPG file. Thank you in advance.
The crown we do in pakistan are.
Pfm crowns.= 10000 rupees each
Zirconium crown= 25000 rupees each.
Crowns can be done a week after root canal treatment.
These crowns last for 15 -20 years....

Ans 1 - 5 thousands to 35 thousands but it may variable according to the quality.
Ans 2- You should go for it as soon as possible if it's necessary according to the Doctor.
Ans 3 - These are long lasting provided the procedure is effective.

Thank you Dr for your detailed answers. I have another confusion. I already have problem with my arm. After six month i have to go for surgery of my arm. So which crown will not effect electromagnetic rays(MRI) etc. Kindly advice.

It's depends on tooth location, remaining Structure and your Financial status
hi there. Well we At Shoaib Dental & Esthetic center are doing two kinds of crowns. 1. Ceramic fused to nickle chromiumCosting 7000rs. And full zirconium crown costing 25000 rs. These crowns last for about 15 to 20 years. Thanks.

Specialist will always give better treatment and will charge more
Its upto you what you want
tooth location aesthetic demand allergies and cost all will be deciding factors.
crown must serve more than 5 year minimum for upward no limits
If it is back tooth then go for PFM crown as it is best in strength and colour matching good though .
Costing around 12k to 15k.
If the tooth is in front then you can choose between zirconia crown/porcelain crown / PFM crown depending upon your pocket as zirconia is double the amount of PFM .
As far as time is concerned ..if the tooth is having no pain ..then go for crown immediately .
As you know it is a dead tooth it can crack anytime without crown so all your RCT will be wasted then .
We always put crown on RCT treated tooth when the tooth is painfree after RCT ..
Thirdly if u are having 1 to 3 crowns of any type in your mouth it wount hinder in MRI machine as they can artifact control settings .
But if they are multiple crowns more than this then they make ask you to get them off .
As none of our material porelian/zirconia/metal has magnetic in it so it wount do any harm .
But best thing is that go and ask the technician whether his machine has artifact control setting in it of metal fused with porcelain .
Its better you call me ill guide you as we do implants so occasionally we are asked by pts that can they have MRi with implants or braces .
So i would like you to call me , ill guide further .

This will be my first crown. I broke my arm during a football match. And now, I have to go through surgery again for removal of the plate, so I need to be careful about any crown which will affect the MRI.

Kindly mention the prices. Can i go for crown after three months of root canal? Now i am in china and after three months i will be in Pakistan.
