Talk to General Practitioner on Hypertension
Asking for Father, Male, 59 years old, One eye paralysis and hypertension
My father is hypertensive and takes norvasc 10mg for it . Yesterday he had indigestion and vomitted thrice and after that he felt really lethargic but after some time he suddenly complained that he couldn’t open his right eye, it shrinked in size and he was unable to move it , it seemed like it was paralyzed but he was able to move the rest of his face I checked his bp it was 120/75 I couldn’t understand what was happening can you please guide

Did you checked manually and secondly, check is there any slurring of speech, like difficulty to talk it could be some early symptoms of stroke. ASAP take him to nearby hospital not clinic get CT brain plain and consult neuro. Also there will be some changes of medicationg of hypertension too. In simple a proper follow will be done now.

Start Ascard 75mg once daily for him and get him checked for neurologic examination. If gradually other face muscles aur also being involved so he simply will need face physiotherapy and steriod medication for treatment. But if remaining face is not involved so he needs an Immediate CT scan to find out the cause immediately and address it.
Before taking medicine, BP was checked or not m It is because of sudden Bp change with tablet it was overdosed.
