Salam, can you please help me on how to deal with Paraxyl CR 25mg withdrawal symptoms. My mother was taking it and she abruptly stopped it without telling anyone and now she is having severe anger issues, irritation in skin, diarrhoea etc. Please tell me how to deal with this, is there anything she can take to subside these.
consult psychiatrist who initially advised her Parloxetine..we cant prescribe medicine without proper history and investigations on this forum
paroxeitine cr is generally started and ended in same pattern tapering like u shift to 20mg for aweek then 15mg aweek then 10 mg aweek and then finally 5 mg aweek and then pill free
and u can also shift from Cr to normal one

w/Salam dose must be tappered down , sudden stopping could have withdrawal symptoms
SSRIs should be tapered hyperbolically and slowly to doses much lower than those of therapeutic minimums over a period of 4 to 6 weeks. Withdrawal symptoms will then be minimised.

She was given Paraxyl by a Gastroenterologist, she has Liver Cirrhosis stage 4. Actually it’s been 10 days since she left it. We know she had to leave it gradually I’m not asking for any medicine I’m just asking any remedy etc through which we can help. Thank you.
