Talk to General Practitioner on Chikungunya Infected My Wife And Daughter
Asking for Husband, Male, 28 years old, Karachi
Physicians diagnosed them as chikungunya with extreme body pain and high fever. They have prescribed cefixime 400 and panadol for my wife and syrp cefixime ds to my daughter. Please suggest is it safe to use antibiotic in chikungunya

Dear Member,
There is no need of an antibiotic in chikungunya if the doctor had already diagnosed it although there is no harm of taking one if the diagnosis is in doubt.
