Talk to Geriatrician on Meat Choking

Hello doctor , i hope you’re doing great , i have an urgent question i hope you kindly answer me, my father is a doctor , lately he is been having trouble eating meat , whenever he eats meat it gets stuck in his throat and he starts choking and vomitting , he did a scanner and a endoscopy and a also a biopsy and all of them confirmed that he has a erythematous gastritis , keep in mind that he is a heavy user of anti-acids meds and anti inflammatory medications and since im a pharmacy doctor i know the damage they do to gastric bandage , my question now is why he keeps choking to meat specifically? Im getting really worried please answer my question and thank you so much
