Aoa ..im 18 and suffering from underbite ..this cause is genetic and it also cause facial asymmetry... Im looking for this treatment and some orthodontist have recommended me maxillofacial surgery..so im looking for the maxillofacial surgeons who have experience and has handled these type of patients ..

Woa. your orthodontist would suggest you a maxillofacial and he will plan your case along with him and perform your whole treatment. It's not your job to find a maxillofacial surgeon who is experienced in orthognathic surgery. There are a lot of good surgeons in Pakistan now who can handle these cases. If you have facial asymmetry you ll need to be seen definitely by an orthodontist and might also require a Maxillofacial surgeon. The orthodontist will start your treatment with adjusting your teeth and will prepare you for surgery . I recommend you visit a hospital based setup where both orthodontists and Maxillofacial surgeons are available together to address your case
BASICALLY, it's a teamwork and orthodontist and Orthognathic surgeon ( maxillofacial surgeon specialised in correcting jaw deformaties ) plus minus a plastic surgeon .
so basically, ur orthodonist will guide you and plan and prepare your case so that the surgeon of his team will then perform surgery to correct ur problem . which city do you belong to so that i can recommend you one .plz remember every orthodontist and every maxillofacial surgeon can not do complex jaw deformity cases.
