I snd my baby MRCP report. Dr said liver is normal size. Oprate kr k jo vein ki thori si blockge h wo thk karni h. Thats way he advised Hida scan from bino hospital. Kindly help in my baby case. Jazakallah

Not sure who has advised to carry out MRCP for this age. It is a waste of time. I only do ultrasound scan if I suspect biliary atresia and then proceed with operative cholangiogram and liver biopsy, which can be done laparoscopically. This operation should be done around 6 to 8 weeks of age. At 4 months of age, if child has biliary atresia then the only best option is liver transplant. Having said all this you need to see physically see a paediatric surgeon to make the best clinical decision for your child.
