Asking for Other, Female, 6 years old, Faisalabad
6 year daughter has severe speech issue. Sometimes she speaks words with delay sometime same words says fine. She speaks well for the things she already know like she recite Surah / Naats very well. but somtime she even not able to say Baba and says like baaaaa a aa a baaaa :(. Had a check up from speech therapist in Lahore few months ago. she had book to identify the the words causing issue and she reads almost complete book without any issue and she finds nothing. Experts Please advise. what should we do to whom we should consult. Some doctors says this will go automatically but from last some days it's going worse.

the issue you are discussing show the dysfluency .. she need to consult speech and language pathologist and take therapy .will resolve the matter soon
your child has a speech issue not a pediatrician issues.your child fall in stammering. firstly not try to speak fast. secondly blow the Balloon and take appointment through marham platefoam and consult speech therapist.😇

According to the symptoms you have mentioned, your daughter has dysfluency of speech/stammering. She is able to recite surah/naat well because stammering does not usually occur in prolonged speech. It happens in the normal speech. You need to have her speech evaluated properly with a speech and language pathologist, then you'll be guided about the intervention.
