Aireez Tablet uses include preventing asthma attacks, relieving allergy symptoms, and preventing exercise-induced breathing difficulties. It is an anti-asthmatic medication containing Montelukast Sodium, which belongs to the leukotriene receptor antagonists (LTRAs) class. It works by blocking the action of leukotrienes, which are chemicals in the body that cause inflammation, airway narrowing, and allergic symptoms.
Your doctor might give you Aireez Tablet for:
Prevention and long-term treatment of asthma
Prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction
Seasonal allergic rhinitis
Perennial (year-round) allergic rhinitis
Nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, and itchy nose
Allergic conditions
Eczema and atopic dermatitis
Always follow your doctor's instructions exactly.
For asthma: 10mg once daily in the evening
For allergic rhinitis: 10mg once daily (can be taken morning or evening)
For exercise-induced bronchoconstriction: 10mg at least 2 hours before exercise
Not recommended for children under 12 months for asthma
How to Take:
Swallow the 10mg tablet whole with water.
Chewable tablets should be chewed before swallowing.
Granules can be taken directly or mixed with soft food (applesauce, rice, ice cream).
For asthma, take it in the evening.
Take at the same time each day.
Do not take more than one dose in 24 hours.
Don't use Aireez Tablet if you:
Are allergic to Montelukast or any ingredients in the tablet
Need relief for an acute asthma attack
Have phenylketonuria (PKU)
Talk with your doctor first if you:
Have liver problems
Have a history of mental health problems
Have aspirin sensitivity or aspirin-exacerbated respiratory disease
Are taking other asthma medications
Are pregnant or planning to become pregnant

Also, remember:
Do not stop taking your other asthma medications without doctor's advice
Do not reduce or stop corticosteroid therapy suddenly
Always carry your rescue inhaler for acute asthma attacks

Continue taking even if you feel well
