Paraxyl CR tablet uses include treating major depression, panic disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. It contains Paroxetine, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that works by increasing serotonin levels in the brain.

Paraxyl CR Tablet Dosage and Administration

Adult Dosage:

  • For depression: Starting dose 12.5-25mg once daily; may increase to maximum 62.5mg/day.

  • For anxiety/panic: 12.5mg once daily; may increase weekly to maximum 75mg/day.

  • For OCD: 25mg once daily; may increase as needed.

Children Dosage:

  • Not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years.

How to Take:

  • Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do NOT crush, chew, or break.

  • Take preferably in the morning with food to reduce stomach upset.

  • Take at the same time each day.

  • May take several weeks to show full effect.

Don't use Paraxyl CR Tablet if you:

  • Are allergic to Paroxetine or any SSRIs
