Procedure

The procedure for double chin reduction depends on a specific treatment. However, if you choose liposuction, your dermatologist may follow these steps:

• The procedure begins with the administration of local or general anesthesia  

• After this, small incisions are made either beneath your chin or behind the ears.

• Cannula, a thin tube is inserted into these incisions, and suction is applied to remove excess fats. 

• Once fats are removed, the incisions are stitched and covered with surgical adhesive.

Risks & Complications

The risks and complications you should know before double chin reduction are as follows: 

• Infection at the site of treatment 

• Visible scarring for a short or longer period

• Temporary or permanent damage to nearby nerves
